LRE & Co is pleased to announce that Patrick Neelan has joined our team as Construction Manager. As we continue to expand our development pipeline across retail, restaurant, drive-thru, and hospitality assets throughout the western U.S., Patrick brings exactly the kind of hands-on, field-tested construction judgment we seek in this role: someone who has walked job sites, managed budgets under pressure, and knows how a project is actually built, not just how it is scheduled.

A Career Built on Complex, High-Stakes Projects

Patrick’s background reads like a tour through some of the most demanding project types in commercial construction. Over more than three decades, he has managed roughly $747 million in commercial construction projects, including $599 million delivered for city, county, state, and federal clients. That portfolio spans correctional facilities, airport terminals, university buildings, corporate headquarters, school bond programs, and federal historic renovation work, a breadth of experience that speaks directly to the constructability review, budget discipline, and stakeholder coordination this role demands.

Most recently, Patrick served as Construction Project Manager for Procon Consulting, providing on-site construction management for the General Services Administration during the renovation of the historic Sacramento Federal Building. Before that, he spent eight years as Senior Program Manager with Capital Program Management Inc., overseeing design teams, bidding, and construction for Vacaville Unified School District’s bond program, work that included new science classrooms, a new gymnasium, stadium renovations, and campus-wide modernization efforts across multiple school sites.

A Warm Welcome

Outside his construction career, Patrick has chaired the American SkiBike Association since 2022 and previously founded and managed a company dedicated to promoting the sport. That experience reflects the same organizational drive and community-building instinct he brings to his professional work. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University, where he also competed as an NCAA gymnastics champion.
