Most grocery stores across the West Valley stocked up again after coronavirus panic buying cleared shelves in recent weeks.

But many local residents are wary of spending time in grocery stores, or find that some staple items aren’t available.

A number of local Subway restaurants are filling that void, offering wholesale grocery supplies for purchase. That includes breads, lunch meats, chicken, meatballs, tuna, cheese, and vegetables. Subway’s sauces, soups, egg patties, and snacks are also available.

To purchase, customers can visit subwaygrocery.com and choose pickup or delivery options. The company has also launched recipe options, which customers can make with Subway ingredients.

“We are so proud to be able to offer these expanded options to our neighbors in this challenging time,” said Akki Patel, president of Letap Group and a Development Agent for Subway in Northern California.

Neighborhood Subways are also working with Feeding America. Through the end of April, Subway will donate a meal for each footlong sub purchased. The company’s goal is to donate 15 million meals.
